Recreation Services, in collaboration with Human Resources, will host the 2017 Employee Wellness Screening and Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 10, and Wednesday, Oct. 11, in the Student Recreation Center East Gym. The fair will be held from 6-11 a.m. Appointments for the screening will also begin at 6 a.m. with the last appointment being scheduled at 10:50 a.m. Services such as basic blood analysis, prostate-specific antigen tests, bone density scan, blood pressure, body composition and hearing screenings will be available to all employees. A free breakfast will be provided to all participants. Registration for this event will begin two weeks prior to the event.
The fair will also feature more than 25 exhibitors, including UnitedHealthcare, Missouri Running Company, Smoothie King, Chartwells and chair massages. Several free health screenings will be offered at the fair, including pulmonary function testing and a skin care screening provided by SoutheastHEALTH. A vascular test will be offered by Integra Wellness for an additional cost. A flu-shot clinic also will be provided. Flu shots are covered under the preventive benefits of Southeast’s United Healthcare medical insurance plan. Registration for flu shots is separate from fair registration and is encouraged to ensure an adequate supply of vaccine is on hand.
This year, wellness screening results will be accessible through SoutheastHEALTH’s website WellSource. Information on how to check your results will be provided at the day of your screening. If you have questions or concerns, contact Sara Wagganer, assistant director of fitness and wellness, at (573) 651-2367 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
