Astronomy, Non-Communist Baseball in Poland Topic of Sunday’s ‘Going Public’

Oct. 12, 2006 – Latest discoveries in the field of astronomy and non-communist baseball in Warsaw, Poland, will be the topics at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, on Southeast Public Radio’s “Going Public” program.

David Aguilar of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics will discuss the latest discoveries in the field of astronomy and some of the Center’s exciting new projects.

In addition, author and poet Gary Gildner will discuss his experiences as the coach of the only non-communist baseball team in Warsaw, Poland, during the 1980s.

This week’s “Going Public” is hosted by Tom Harte, Susan Swartwout and Jacob McCleland. The program airs every Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. on 90.9 FM, KRCU, and 88.9 FM, KSEF.
