CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Aug. 25, 2014 — Brent Webb: Solo Exhibition will be on display beginning Sept. 8 in the River Campus Art Gallery of Southeast Missouri State University.
An artist talk is scheduled for Sept. 5 at 4 p.m., and a reception will be held that day from 5-7 p.m. The exhibition will remain on display through Sept. 25.
Webb, assistant professor of art with Radford University in Virginia, will present this solo exhibition featuring oil paintings that project fantasies, dreams, myths, memories and desires.
“The exhibitions committee selected Brent Webb’s paintings for an exhibit in the gallery due to his attention to abstraction, color and memory,” said Kristin Powers Nowlin, gallery coordinator. “We think his work will be a departure from any other show we scheduled this academic year.”
The River Campus Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the historic Seminary Building in Room 106.
River Campus Art Gallery hours are 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-7 p.m. on First Fridays. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Gallery Coordinator Kristin Powers Nowlin at firstname.lastname@example.org or (573) 651-5901.
