Carpe Diem Oct. 4 Celebrates Diversity on Campus

Carpe Diem Fall 2014CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Sept. 22, 2014 – Southeast Missouri State University will celebrate its cultural diversity with the annual Carpe Diem festivities at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, in the Student Recreation Center-North.

Carpe Diem is a multiethnic celebration featuring traditional dance, music, food, cultural and educational exchange.

Sponsored and organized by the Office of Residence Life, this event is open to all Southeast students, family members and friends.

Events will include dynamic music and dance performances by traditional ethnic artists, world music favorites and cuisines from around the world. Other activities will include games, calligraphy, henna tattoos, a photo booth, caricatures, darts, ring toss, dice stacking and a Rubik’s Cube.

Admission is free.
