Debbie Landgraf, Linda Gosche, and Kathy Brown, all long-time teachers in the Center for Child Studies in the Department of Human Environmental Studies at Southeast Missouri State University, are retiring at the end of the spring 2008 semester.

The three have worked together for a combined total of 84 years, educating young children and University students and building relationships with families across the area.  Their contributions to the Center for Child Studies, the University, and the community are immeasurable, Center for Child Studies officials say.

A reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 9, to honor their years of service and to celebrate their retirement.  The reception will be held in Scully Building Room 226 of the Center for Child Studies, and will be hosted by the Department of Human Environmental Studies and the Parent Task Force of the Center for Child Studies.   Former and current families, University students, and colleagues are invited to attend the reception.

The Parent Task Force would welcome stories, notes, photographs, or any artifacts that former parents or children have related to their time at the Center for Child Studies and their experiences with Miss Debbie, Miss Linda, or Miss Kathy.  These items can be sent to “Center for Child Studies, Southeast Missouri State University, One University Plaza MS 5750, Cape Girardeau, MO  63701.” E-mails may be sent to tmroberts@semo.edu.
