Chatham Student Named Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month

The Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month is given to a student employee for going “above and beyond” the call of duty.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

March 12, 2007 – Katherine White of Chatham, Ill., has been named Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month for February at Southeast Missouri State University.

White, a Southeast sophomore, assists in the marketing and promotions area of the Department of Recreation Services. She creates marketing information, including brochures, fliers and press releases, and was instrumental in the success of the department’s “Late Nite” held in late February.

White is a secondary education/industrial education major with a minor in developmental psychology. She hopes to be a high school publications advisor and teacher after graduating from Southeast.

The Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month is the highest achievement award given to a Recreation Services student employee for going “above and beyond” the normal call of duty to assist the program, patrons and users of the recreational facilities.
