Child Care Resource and Referral and United Way/Success by Six Announces Outstanding Early Childhood of the Year Award

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Feb. 8, 2007 — Child Care Resource and Referral & United Way/Success by Six will be presenting the first Outstanding Early Childhood Award at the Annual Provider Appreciation Brunch May 19 at Southeast Missouri State University.

Awards will be given to school based center directors affiliated with a public school or University, center based center directors with a licensed center in the community, school based teachers affiliated with a public school or university, center based teachers affiliated with a licensed center in the community and a family child care provider with a licensed family child care provider.

The nomination process is now under way.  In order to be eligible for the award, providers must work within a licensed facility, exempt child care facility, inspected facility or a facility affiliated with a public school or university within Cape Girardeau County or Scott City.  Nominations must be post marked by March 9.
