Choral Union Announces Concert Season, Seeking Singers

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Aug. 8, 2005 — The Southeast Missouri State University Choral Union, a non-auditioned choral ensemble open to community and collegiate singers, proudly announces its 2005–2006 concert season.

As always, the Choral Union is looking for new members for all vocal sections, especially tenors and basses.  Choral Union rehearsals are held in Brandt Music Hall, Room 205, from 7 to 8:50 p.m. most Tuesdays of the school year and will begin Sept. 6.

The fall concert, Nov. 29, features the Choral Union with the Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra in Francis Poulenc’s choral masterpiece, “Gloria.”  The May 2 spring concert, again with the Southeast Symphony, will feature Mozart’s “Requiem,” his last composition that remained unfinished at his death.  Both concerts will be at 8 p.m. in Academic Hall.
