Choral Union to Begin Rehearsals Jan. 22

The Southeast Missouri State University Choral Union, a non-auditioned choral ensemble open to community and collegiate singers, will begin its spring rehearsals Jan. 22 at the River Campus.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Jan. 14, 2008 – The Southeast Missouri State University Choral Union, a non-auditioned choral ensemble open to community and collegiate singers, will begin its spring rehearsals Jan. 22 at the River Campus in preparation for an April 29 performance of Jonathan Dove’s “Koethener Messe” and the “Hallelujah” from Beethoven’s “Christ on the Mount of Olives.”

Rehearsals will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday evenings in the instrumental rehearsal room in the Cultural Arts Center.  Students will be on hand to direct participants to the new location on Jan. 22.  Shuttle service will be available for those commuting from the main Southeast campus. There will also be plenty of parking at River Campus.

The Choral Union will perform with the Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra in the Bedell Performance Hall.
