Crisp Museum Hosting Family Day Feb. 13

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Feb. 10, 2010 – The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus will host “Family Day: Going, Going, Gone-Historical Disappearances” from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13.A short introductory presentation, followed by a gallery tour, will touch on the disappearance of societies, habitats, architecture and technology, as well as aspects of current society that could disappear in the near future.Programs will be repeated throughout the day.  Afterward, families may visit the classroom and create their own artwork to capture a bit of history.”Exhibiting Excellence,” a fine art exhibition, also will be on display.  This juried show includes works from area high schools and will be on display through March 7.For more information, visit www.semo.edu/museum or call (573) 651-2260.  The Crisp Museum is located on the River Campus, 518 S.
