CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Sept. 15, 2014 – The Chamber Music Sundays at Three series will kick off its 2014-2015 season with a performance by the Delphi Trio Sept. 28 at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.
The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall.
Featured artists, the Delphi Trio is composed of Liana Bèrubè, violin, Michelle Kwon, cello, and Jeffrey LaDeur, piano. Berube, Kwon, LaDeur are graduates of the University of Toronto, Stanford University and the Eastman School of Music, respectively. The Delphi Trio formed while studying in the Chamber Music Program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
The Trio has traveled throughout the United States and Canada, including performances at the Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota, Great Lakes Chamber Festival, WFMT Studios Chicago, Dakota Sky International Piano Festival and the Banff Centre for the Arts.
In addition to Chamber Music Sundays at Three, the Delphi Trio will celebrate the 2014-2015 season with their second year as Ensemble-in-Residence at the Bear Valley Music Festival, appearances at the Chamber Music Society of Little Rock, the April in Santa Cruz Festival of Contemporary Music, performances in collaboration with Scott Parkman and American Music Century and the release of the Trio’s first recording featuring works by Haydn and Arensky.
The Trio has been mentored by Henk Guittart, Bonnie Hampton, Anthony Marwood, Menahem Pressler and Paul Katz.
