Disability Month Event Oct. 18 Features Southeast Alumnus Roosevelt Mitchell III

roosevelt-mitchell-disability-awareness-month-flyer-1All students, faculty and staff are invited to join in the celebration of Disability Awareness Month 2016 with Roosevelt Mitchell III’s presentation “The Most Severe Disability is a Negative Mind” followed by a book signing event. Mitchell is a Southeast alumnus, a national speaker, an award-winning educator, a public intellectual and author of five books. Following  his presentation, he will be available to sign copies of his recently released book, “Diary of a Disability Scholar: The Autopsy.” The event will begin with Mitchell’s presentation at 6 p.m. in Crisp Hall, Room 125.  For more details regarding this event, please contact Counseling and Disability Services at ucs@semo.edu or (573) 986-6191.
