Eck Honored by International Association of Administrative Professionals

Patty Eck was honored with its President’s Recognition Award by the Missouri Division of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

June 12, 2008 – Patty Eck, academic affairs support specialist in the Office of the Provost at Southeast Missouri State University, was honored June 7 by the Missouri Division of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).

Eck, a certified professional secretary (CPS), received the President’s Recognition Award for service at the association’s annual meeting in Kansas City, Mo. The award is given annually to one member of the state division. Recipients are chosen from outstanding members within the Missouri division. Eck was chosen from a group of 20 for her work on the organization’s Administrative Professionals Week Proclamation Signing in Jefferson City, Mo.

“I was very surprised and honored to accept the award, because there are a lot of really great administrative professionals in this organization,” Eck said.

The Missouri division of IAAP has 805 members.
