Fall Choral Concert Nov. 9 Featuring University Choir, Cantus Choralis

The Southeast Missouri State University Choir and Cantus Choralis will present their fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in Old St. Vincent’s Church in downtown Cape Girardeau.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Oct. 23, 2006 — The Southeast Missouri State University Choir and Cantus Choralis will present their fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in Old St. Vincent’s Church in downtown Cape Girardeau.

This concert will feature the University Choir performing choral settings of Marian texts from the Renaissance through the late 20th century.  Fascinating sacred and secular works by Jean-Philippe Rameau, John Rutter, and Eric Whitacre will round out the concert. 

Southeast’s chamber choir, Cantus Choralis, will sing “Sweet and Sour Nursery Rhymes” by the noted American composer, Libby Larsen.  This concert has something for everyone and is not to be missed.  If you love fantastic choral music, you will delight at this offering.
