Former Black Panther to Speak Feb. 2 at Southeast

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Jan. 19, 2005 – Bobby Seale, co-founder and former chairman of the Black Panther Party, will speak Feb. 2 on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Rose Theatre, located in the Grauel Language Arts Building.

Seale has become a very popular speaker on the University lecture circuit.  He is a gifted and entertaining speaker who addresses general themes of citizen empowerment as well as his own involvement in and changing perspectives since his early participation in the struggle for civil rights.
