Forum to Focus on ‘The 2006 Midterm Elections’

A forum on the Midterm Elections is scheduled for 12:05 to 1:15 p.m. in Dempster Auditorium located in Crisp Hall Room 125.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Nov. 1, 2006 – “The 2006 Midterm Elections” will be the topic of a forum sponsored by the Department of Political Science, Philosophy and Religion Nov. 8 at Southeast Missouri State University.

The forum is scheduled for 12:05 to 1:15 p.m. in Dempster Auditorium located in Crisp Hall Room 125.

Topics to be discussed will include issues and candidates in Missouri; competition, advertising and turnout; and the makeup and leadership of the 110th Congress.

Moderating the forum will be Dr. Hamner Hill, chair of the Department of Political Science, Philosophy and Religion. Presenters will include Dr. Russell Renka and Dr. Rick Althaus, both professors of political science; and Rick Almeida, instructor of political science.
