Freeburg, Wentzville Students Named to Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month

The Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month is given to a student employee for going “above and beyond” the call of duty.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Feb. 14, 2007 – Claudia Favre, Freeburg, Ill., and Eric Peggs of Wentzville, Mo., have been named Recreation Services Student Employees of the Month for January at Southeast Missouri State University.

Favre, a senior majoring in dietetics, has worked for the Department of Recreation Services for two years. As a supervisor for the Student Recreation Center’s climbing wall, she has been complimented on her approach to customer service in helping patrons use the wall. Favre also is very active as president of the rock climbing club at Southeast. She has ambitions for a career as a registered dietician.

Peggs, a senior majoring in sports management, is currently an assistant for Southeast’s intramural sports program and assists the department in planning and coordinating intramural sports events for students. Peggs is interested in a position with the St. Louis area’s professional sports scene.

The Recreation Services Student Employee of the Month is the highest achievement award given to a Recreation Services student employee for going “above and beyond” the normal call of duty to assist the program, patrons and users of the recreational facilities. 

Both students received a professional leather binder for their professional use in the future.
