Freedom of Speech Run/Walk Slated for Sept. 30

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Sept. 20, 2006 – The fourth annual Freedom of Speech 5K run and one-mile walk will be held Sept. 30 as a part of Family Weekend activities at Southeast Missouri State University.

Events will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. in the south parking lot of the Show Me Center. Also included will be a free concert and three-minute speech contemplating the nation’s first amendment rights.

The event will be professionally videotaped and replayed beginning at 11 a.m. on the big screens at Buffalo Wild Wings’ V.I.P. Room, 2136 William Street in Cape Girardeau. Participants will enjoy special prices on food and soft drink orders.
