Glass Named Rec Services Employee of the Month for August

The Department of Recreation Services at Southeast Missouri State University named Dana Glass, a junior from Jackson, Mo., Recreation Services Employee of the Month for August.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Sept. 7, 2007 – The Department of Recreation Services at Southeast Missouri State University named Dana Glass, a junior from Jackson, Mo., Recreation Services Employee of the Month for August.

Glass was nominated for her work with the group fitness program.

“She is an excellent instructor, teaching ‘Body Sculpt’ and ‘Boot Camp’ classes, has displayed dedication by filling open shifts, and has been willing to go above and beyond what a normal employee does,” says Troy Vaughn, director of Recreation Services.

A full-time mother and student, Glass also is employed by the Faculty Senate on campus.

“My career goals are to work in a health or fitness facility and to encourage my community to strive for complete wellness,” she says.

“I hope to help people realize their full potential from a health and wellness standpoint,” she added.

The Employee of the Month award is given to student employees working with the Department of Recreation Services at Southeast. The award recognizes outstanding achievement with student employees and their ability to go beyond normal duties.
