‘Going Public’ to Feature Discussion of Kent Library’s Stained Glass Windows, Upcoming Symphony Concert, River Tales Segment

Feb. 27, 2007 — This Sunday, March 4, on “Going Public,” Linda Zimmer will share her knowledge of a treasure hidden in plain sight – some windows at Kent Library that were created by the premier stained glass artist of early 20th century.

Paul Thompson, guest director of the Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra, and sophomore flutist Candice Summers, winner of the Concerto and Aria Competition, will discuss the upcoming “Symphonic Splendors” concerto on March 6.

On the “River Tales” segment of the program, Dan Cotner recalls 66 years in the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band.
