A power outage at Grauel Building, Myers Hall and Dearmont Hall is scheduled the weekend of July 28-30 so a transformer can be replaced at Grauel Building. The Grauel elevator will be taken out of service at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 28, and the Myers Hall elevator will be taken out of service at 3 p.m. that day. The elevators will be back online at 8 a.m. Monday morning, July 31. Schneider Electric, the contractor performing the work, will begin their work at noon on Friday, July 28, and Grauel Building will lose power at that time. Crane work on Normal Avenue on the north side of Grauel, also will be done, so please plan accordingly.
Myers Hall will have a 15-30 minute power loss Friday, July 28, at 4 p.m. and again Sunday just before 4 p.m., however, there will be power for the weekend. The entire Dearmont facility will lose power for the weekend, including wings A, B, C and D, along with the kitchen complex. All of Grauel and Rose Theatre will be without power for the entire weekend until 4 p.m. Sunday (note that if problems are encountered the outage may run past 4 p.m.)
