Greek Students Hosting Blood Drive March 7-10

Greek students at Southeast Missouri State University will host an annual community-wide American Red Cross blood drive March 7-10 on the Southeast campus.

Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to give the gift of life and help the Greek community reach their goal of 600 pints of donated useable blood.

The drive will be held in the University Center Ballroom. Hours are 3 to 8 p.m. March 7, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 8 and 9, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 10.

In 2003, Greek students with the support of the campus community and the American Red Cross, collected 593 pints of useable blood with about 750 people participating in a similar four-day period.  The Greek community is asking area residents to help replenish blood banks throughout Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois.
