Jackson Mayor-Elect Lohr to be Guest on ‘Going Public’ April 8

“Going Public” airs every Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. on 90.9 FM, KRCU. and 88.9 FM, KSEF.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

April 5, 2007 – Jackson Mayor-Elect Barbara Lohr will discuss some of the biggest issues facing her city and her decision to run for mayor at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 8, on Southeast Public Radio’s “Going Public” program.

In addition, Dr. Susan Swartwout, associate professor of English, will discuss Wordsfair, a “folk festival” celebrating the written and spoken word. Wordsfair will take place Saturday, April 14, on the Southeast campus.

On this weekend’s “River Tales” segment, two Cape Girardeau businessmen – Freck Shivelbine and Roger Lang – tell stories of some of the more interesting characters they have run across in their downtown stores.

This week’s “Going Public” is hosted by Tom Harte and Jacob McCleland. The program airs every Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. on 90.9 FM, KRCU. and 88.9 FM, KSEF.
