Kidd Family Scholarship Fund Established at Southeast

agCAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Sept. 9, 2013 – The Kidd Family Scholarship Fund has been established through the Southeast Missouri University Foundation.

The scholarship was endowed in May by Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Kidd of Cape Girardeau.

The recipient of this renewable scholarship will be a student enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University with a major in the College of Science, Technology and Agriculture. A minimum grade point average of 2.0 is required for this scholarship. Financial need is a preference for the scholarship but not required. The College of Science, Technology and Agriculture will select the recipient.

Forrest Kidd is a 1961 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science with a major in biology. Ernestine Kidd is a 1962 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in high school education with a major in biology education.

The Kidds are the owners of Kidd’s Inc. and have been long-time supporters of the University, the athletic program and the annual golf tournament sponsored by Cape West Rotary, which benefits student scholarships at Southeast.
