KRCU Airing Special Program on Ongoing Issues in Ferguson

KRCU coffee mugCAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Aug. 20, 2014 – KRCU 90.9 FM Radio at Southeast Missouri State University will air a special hour-long program dedicated to recent events in Ferguson, Mo., at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20.

KRCU will broadcast the program produced by “The Takeaway” and St. Louis Public Radio.

The crisis in Ferguson deepened over the weekend despite calls for calm. Gov. Jay Nixon called in the National Guard after worsening violence seen since the death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown. On Monday, Attorney General Eric Holder briefed President Obama on the police shooting and the decision taken over the weekend to carry out a federal autopsy.  Holder is traveling to Ferguson today to meet with the FBI and other investigators.
