KRCU to Air Missouri State of the State Address

KRCU will broadast Missouri Governor Jay Nixon’s State of the State address Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Jan. 20, 2010 — KRCU Public Radio at Southeast Missouri State University has announced plans to air Missouri Governor Jay Nixon’s State of the State address on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m.

This annual address to a joint session of the Missouri General Assembly will take place in the chamber of the House of Representatives in the State Capitol in Jefferson City. Gov. Nixon will detail his legislative and economic priorities during his address.

Among other priorities, the governor will detail his 2010 jobs package.  This policy package focuses on expanding the state’s support for job-training; investing in the growth of high-tech companies; and supporting expansion of loyal Missouri companies.

The State of the State coverage will include the Republican response to the governor’s speech.
