EDITOR’S NOTE: The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will consider the naming of several major facilities at River Campus as well as the new School of Visual and Performing Arts during a closed session meeting of the Board of Regents May 11.
Please be aware that the namings will not be official until the Board acts on the motions. Nonetheless, the University News Bureau wants to make you aware of the news potential for this story since the media has expressed a long-time interest in and has extensively covered the development of the $50-plus million River Campus project.
This Regents meeting will be the first function to be held at River Campus.
- Official naming of public performance and exhibition spaces at River Campus and the establishment and naming of the School of Visual and Performing Arts
- Commissioned portraits of donors for whom the venues and School will be named will be unveiled. The paintings will be hung at the River Campus in appreciation for and as a testament to the donors’ philanthropy totaling approximately $8 million. Most of the donors will be present.
