‘Transportation: Underground to Outer Space’ Theme of Summer Academy
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., May 15, 2009 — The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo., announces its Summer Museum Academy, “Transportation: Underground to Outer Space,” to be held Tuesday, June 2 through Friday, June 5.
Interesting historical facts will come alive with hands-on activities involving fine arts, games, and engineering construction connected to transportation, including early trails, vehicles, roads and bridges, mining, trains and tracks, airplanes and rockets.
The museum academy is free and open to ages 3 through 15. Two sessions are available: 10 a.m.-noon or 1-4 p.m. Adult supervision is required for preschoolers.
