Opening Reception for ‘Chris Kahler: Emanations” Exhibit Postponed Till March 30 at Southeast’s River Campus

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Missouri, March 6, 2015 — An opening reception for the “Chris Kahler: Emanations” exhibit at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus Art Gallery has been postponed to 5-7 p.m. March 30, due to continued wintry weather conditions.

The opening reception was previously scheduled for tonight, March 6, from 5-7 p.m. The exhibit will be on display in the gallery beginning March 9.

A juror lecture will be held April 1 from noon-1 p.m. The exhibition will be on display through March 31. The gallery will be closed the week of Spring Break, March 16-20.

Chris Kahler is a professor of painting and drawing as well as the graduate coordinator for the Department of Art at Eastern Illinois University (EIU). His solo exhibition in the River Campus Art Gallery will feature his abstract and vividly colored paintings. Kahler also is serving as the juror for the Department of Art’s Annual Juried Student Exhibition in April at the River Campus.
