Outdoor Warning Siren, Network Messaging System Being Tested Wednesday

Southeast will test its outdoor warning siren/alert system and network messaging system at noon, Wednesday, April 6. Both systems are tested regularly at noon on the first Wednesday of each month. Those on or near campus can expect to hear soundings of the siren system at noon. The sirens will sound after a verbal alert that “this is a test.” In the event of severe weather, the testing will be postponed. Those using personal computers connected to the University’s local area network can expect to see a test message from the network messaging system appear on their office computer’s screen at noon. The network messaging system will be used to deliver information regarding weather alerts or other emergencies. If you do not receive an emergency alert test message, please send an e-mail message to helpdesk@semo.edu.
