Phi Mu Alpha Performing American Music Recital Dec. 9 in Shuck Recital Hall

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Nov. 26, 2007 – The Iota Psi chapter of Phi Mu Alpha will present The American Music Recital at 3 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall in the Seminary Building on Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.

Admission is free.

Phi Mu Alpha will feature works by American composers performed by individual brothers and the chapter as a whole. The concert is organized by the chapter’sVice President Jay Peters.  Phi Mu Alpha is a men’s music fraternity dedicated to the advancement of music in America and to fostering a sense of loyalty to the alma mater.  The Iota Psi chapter assists the Southeast Department of Music and the community.  The chapter also sponsors the annual Clark Terry/Phi Mu Alpha Jazz Festival, which will be held at the new River Campus Feb. 15-16.
