The Department of Physics and Engineering Physics at Southeast Missouri State University inducted two new members April 28 into Sigma Pi Sigma, the national physics honor society.
The new inductees are Sarah Nix of Corinth, Mississippi, majoring in engineering physics: computer applications, and Camden Criddle of Cape Girardeau, majoring in engineering physics: mechanical applications and computer applications.
Guest speaker at the induction was Greg Forcherio who received his Bachelor of Science in engineering physics: electrical applications from Southeast in 2012. He received a Master of Science in microelectronics and photonics from the University of Arkansas in 2014 and is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in microelectronics and photonics. Forcherio’s presentation was on plasmonic resonances of various nano-particles and nano-structures.
