Piano, Flute Recital Planned for Jan. 26

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Jan. 12, 2010 – Southeast Missouri State University Department of Music faculty members Paul Thompson and Matt Yount will present a recital of works for flute and piano at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall at Southeast’s River Campus.  

Works to be performed will include Sonatas by Handel and Donizetti, “Concert Etudes” by Argentinian Tango Master Astor Piazzolla, an exciting new work by Southeast composer  Robert Fruehwald, and a 19th century showpiece by Paggi.

Admission is $8 for the general public, $7 for faculty and staff, and $3 for Southeast students. Tickets will be available at the door or may be obtained in advance by calling the River Campus Box Office at (573) 651-2265.
