Poetry to Be Featured in April on Southeast Public Radio

In recognition of National Poetry Month, Southeast Public Radio will air poems each weekday throughout the month of April.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., March 26, 2007 — In recognition of National Poetry Month, Southeast Public Radio will air poems each weekday throughout the month of April.

“Poetry in the Air” will feature a wide variety of poems, read by local poets and poetry lovers, including Susan Swartwout, Dale Haskell and Thomas Eaton.

“Poetry in the Air” will air during Caffe Concerto, weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and during “Afternoon Classics,” weekdays between 1 and 4 p.m. The poems also will be available as a podcast at www.southeastpublicradio.org.

“Poetry in the Air” is a production of Southeast Public Radio and the Department of English at Southeast Missouri State University.
