CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Sept. 14, 2007 – The Center for Economic and Business Research at Southeast Missouri State University has named Dr. Diane Primont its new associate director.
Dr. Bruce Domazlicky, director of the Center says, “Dr. Primont is a fine addition to the Center for Economic and Business Research. She brings significant experience and impressive research expertise to her new position as associate director.”
Primont has been at Southeast since 1990 and is originally from the Chicago area. She received undergraduate and master’s degrees from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and her doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina. She is a professor serving in the Department of Economics and Finance at Southeast.
The Center recently was designated by the Economic Development Administration as a “University Center.” This prestigious designation meant additional funding enabling a part-time associate to be named.
