Redhawks Kids Camp Collecting Food for Family Resource Center

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., June 22, 2006 — Join campers from Redhawks Kids Camp at Southeast Missouri State University in assisting the Family Resource Center of Cape Girardeau by donating food. 

As a part of “Community Week,” campers will be visiting buildings on the Southeast Missouri State University campus on Friday mornings through July 28 to collect food that will be given to the Family Resource Center.

The following age groups will be visiting these buildings:

  • Grades K-2: Houck Field House, Grauel, Kent Library, University Center and Dearmont
  • Grades 3-5: Carnahan Hall, Crisp Hall, Brandt Hall, Academic Hall, Memorial Hall and the Art Building
  • Grades 6-8: Student Recreation Center-North, Otto and Della Seabaugh Polytechnic Building, Johnson Hall, Magill Hall, Rhodes Hall, Dempster Hall, Scully, and Parker Hall

Donations also may be made at the Redhawks Kids Camp headquarters in the Student Recreation Center South at 926 Broadway in Cape Girardeau through Friday, July 28.  Redhawks Kids Camp, “where a kid can be a kid,” is a recreational day camp for kids ages 5-13 (entering grades K-8 in the fall) provided by the Department of Recreational Sports at Southeast Missouri State University.
