CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Nov. 13, 2003 — The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today approved the appointment of Dr. Beth Easter as a University representative on the Show Me Center Board of Managers.
Easter’s appointment is effective Dec. 1. Easter is a member of the International Association of Arena Managers (IAAM) and an associate professor of sports management at Southeast. University officials say Easter will provide a teacher/student based perspective for the Board of Managers.
The Show Me Center Board of Managers consists of six members — three appointed by the Cape Girardeau City Council and three by the Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents. Members serve staggered three-year terms. Current members include city representatives Doug Leslie, Luke Landgraf, and a third to be announced. University representatives are Dr. Ivy Locke, vice president for business and finance; Lori Lynn, director of campus life; and Easter.
Easter’s term on the Show Me Center Board of Managers will expire Dec. 1, 2006. She replaces Ann Bradshaw, who has served on the board since the inception of the Show Me Center.
