CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
June 18, 2007 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today appointed John Mehner and Maurice “Moe” Sandfort, both of Cape Girardeau, to the Missouri Research Corporation Board of Directors.
Both will serve three-year terms beginning June 18 and ending Dec. 1, 2010.
Mehner is president and chief executive officer of the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Southeast where he earned a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice and a master of science in public administration degree.
Sandfort, who attended Southeast Missouri State University, is community bank president of The Bank of Missouri’s three Cape Girardeau locations. He has served in an executive position in management of banks since 1972.
The Missouri Research Corporation (MRC) operates under the auspices of Southeast Missouri State University. The MRC established the Southeast Innovation Center to develop, grow and retain new businesses that will increase the number and quality of jobs in the region.
