Nov. 29, 2007 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will begin the process of revising the University’s strategic plan when it meets during a retreat beginning at 8 a.m. Nov. 30.

The retreat will be held in the Terrace Room at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The Board is expected to explore a number of areas in preparation for updating the University’s strategic plan during the 2008 spring semester. University-wide open forums will be scheduled next spring, during which input will be invited from the Southeast faculty, staff and students, as well as local community members.

The University’s current mission statement and strategic plan were approved by the Board in 2004. Because many of the goals of that plan have been accomplished, University officials say it is time to revise and update the strategic plan with a set of priorities to be used in guiding decisions during the next three to five years.
