CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., May 7, 2015 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will meet on May 8 to consider a tuition and fee schedule and special course fees for high cost programs effective fall 2015, along with a proposal for the first phase of the Greek housing project.
The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. in the Board of Regents Room in Academic Hall.
The Board also will consider approving additional special course fees, several Faculty Senate bills, a number of academic program changes, resolutions of honor for University retirees, appointments to the Missouri Innovation Corporation Board and conferring of degrees for spring and summer 2015 graduates.
The Regents will hear reports from the outgoing and incoming Faculty Senate chairs and Student Government presidents. They also will get an update on contracts and Facilities Management projects and an overview of the spring break trip to the Center for Strategic and International Studies. There also will be brief reports on the University’s branding rollout and the President’s Task Force on Diversity Education.
The Regents will hear a motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations related to legal actions; hiring, firing, disciplining or promotion of personnel; personnel records and performance ratings; and records protected from disclosure by law.
When the open session reconvenes, an announcement will be made of actions taken in the closed session. The final item of business on the agenda will be consideration of a motion to adjourn.
