CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
Dec. 18, 2003 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents is expected to confer degrees on fall 2003 fall commencement candidates when the Board meets at 3 p.m. Dec. 19 in the University Center Ballroom.
The Regents will consider accepting the annual financial report for the year ending June 30 from KPMG LLP and the annual financial report for system facilities for the year ending June 30, also from KPMG LLP. The Board also will consider accepting the A-133 single audit report on the schedule of expenditures of federal awards for the year ending June 30 from KPMG LLP.
In other business, the Board will consider ratifying the Articles of Incorporation and bylaws for The Missouri Research Corporation and approving an additional energy conservation day for the University on Jan. 2. The Regents also will consider purchasing SCT Banner and associated software and hardware to replace the University’s current administrative system.
The Board will consider resolutions of honor for Kim Mothershead, whose term on the Board of Regents recently expired; Anne Bradshaw for her service on the Show Me Center Board of Managers; and the academic achievement of both the Southeast softball and volleyball teams.
The Regents will hear the President’s Report which will include information on a presentation to the Missouri House of Representatives’ Committee on AppropriationsᾰEducation by Kenneth W. Dobbins, president of Southeast Missouri State University on Dec. 10. The President’s Report also will include a report on the NCAA Independent Auditor’s Report on Agreed Upon Procedures and a progress report on contracts and Facilities Management projects. Informational materials on faculty background checks also will be distributed.
A motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations will be the final item of business on the agenda. When the open session reconvenes, the Regents will consider a motion to adjourn.
