CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., June 25, 2014 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will consider several personnel actions and the proposed FY15 University general operating and auxiliary budgets when it meets June 26.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. when the Regents will consider a motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations. A closed executive session will follow where the Regents will consider personnel actions including a record number of faculty promotions, tenure, post professorial merit, and non-tenure track merit, along with consideration of approval of bargaining unit agreements. The Regents are scheduled to tour the new River Campus academic and residence center currently under construction at 1:15 p.m.
The open session is scheduled to reconvene at 2:15 p.m. in the John and Betty Glenn Convocation Center. During the open session, the Regents will announce actions taken in closed session earlier in the day before considering the proposed $106.7 million operating and $36.8 million auxiliary budget items. The Regents also will consider a biennial capital budget request for FY16 and FY17 to be submitted to the Missouri Department of Higher Education, motions to proceed with Show Me Center capital projects and the Creative Labs Incubator Project, and several academic program changes.
