Recreational Sports at Southeast Missouri State University is now accepting registrations for Camp Capaha, a summer day camp for youth, to be held at the Student Recreation Center South Campus this summer.
Camp Capaha provides days of fun for children ages 6 to 12. All campers will have the opportunity to play and learn in a number of activities on and around the University campus. Activities include crafts, board games, soccer, basketball, racquetball, tennis, kickball, Wiffleball, ultimate Frisbee, floor hockey, climbing wall, water games, badminton, volleyball, swimming at Capaha Pool and much more.
All campers receive snacks each day and a T-shirt each week. The staff-to-camper ratio is a low one to seven.
Camp Capaha has been very successful, and, for the first time, the program has been expanded to include five weeks: Session I:
June 14 – 18; Session II: June 21 – 25; Session III: June 28 – July 2; Session IV: July 5 – 9; and Session V: July 12 – 16.
Parents may register their children for one or multiple weeks. All sessions are scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost for each session is $100 for University affiliates or Student Recreation Center members and $120 for community members. Call to ask about our various discounts (i.e. Package Deals, Multiple Session, Additional Camper, Early Bird, and Partial Week) or visit http://www4.semo.edu/recsports/campcapaha.asp.
