CAPE GIRARDEAU, Missouri, Feb. 17, 2015 – Revised itineraries for the first two candidates for the president position at Southeast Missouri State University have been announced following a major winter storm that impacted the region and closed the University, twice forcing schedule changes.
Finalist Margaret E. Madden, Ph.D., Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, State University of New York at Potsdam, will visit campus Wednesday, Feb. 18. Due to a scheduling conflict, Madden’s visit has been consolidated into one day.
“Dr. Madden has been very patient as the weather conditions have forced us to adjust her campus visit twice,” said Doyle Privett, chair of the Presidential Search Committee and president of the Southeast Board of Regents. “Due to a previously scheduled family commitment, we have proposed, and she has agreed to, consolidate her campus visit into one day. This will provide her with an opportunity to meet with everyone, while still keeping her family commitment.”
Finalist, Paul D. Plotkowski, Ph.D., founding dean, Padnos College of Engineering & Computing, Grand Valley State University, will be on campus for two days, Wednesday, Feb. 18, and Thursday, Feb. 19.
Madden and Plotkowski will both be on campus Wednesday, Feb. 18, though their itineraries will not conflict with one another.
The revised itineraries for both candidates are available at semo.edu/presidentialsearch.
