CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,
Dec. 1, 2008 – The Department of Art at Southeast Missouri State University will present its Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Graduating Seniors Exhibition Dec. 5-20 in the River Campus Art Gallery in the Seminary Building at Southeast’s River Campus.
A gallery reception will be held from 5-7 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 5 in the Seminary Building located on Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.
The 2008 Graduating Seniors Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition displays ceramic and digital media pieces.
“The works in this collection are clear evidence of dedicated studio practice and rigorous creative and academic investigation. Emerging artists showcased in the exhibit utilize knowledge, artistic exploration, rigorous critique, and a strong focus on professional goals. This exhibition is a culmination of years of fine arts study at Southeast and shows how nurturing and challenging the creative process can produce successful, accomplished bodies of work,” said Emily Booth, gallery coordinator.
The River Campus Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the historic Seminary Building in Room 106. Gallery hours are 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-7 p.m. on the first Friday of each month. All gallery exhibitions, events and presentations are free and open to the public.
