Romanian Fulbright Scholar to Speak on ‘The Writer’s Voice in Totalitarian Romania’

Dr. Didi-Ionel Cenuser, a Romanian Fulbright scholar spending this academic year at Southeast Missouri State University, will deliver a public lecture May 4 at Southeast Missouri State University.

Cenuser will speak at 2:30 p.m. in Room 310 of the Grauel Language Arts Building. His presentation is entitled, “To Speak or Not to Speak: The Writer’s Voice in Totalitarian Romania, 1938-1989.”

Dr. Cenuser is professor of British and American Studies at Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, Romania.  His visit to Southeast is being hosted by the Department of English and the Center for Faulkner Studies.

Admission to the lecture is free. The public is invited.
