Salas, Daly Crowned 2017 Southeast Man and Woman of the Year

Juan Salas, a senior from Holcomb, Missouri, and Emily Daly, a senior from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, were crowned the 2017 Man and Woman of the Year at halftime of the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 14, on Houck Field.

Salas, who is pursuing a degree in public relations, Spanish and graphic design, was sponsored by Lambda Chi Alpha. In addition to his fraternity, he is a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor society, the Student Organization of Latinos, Public Relations Student Society of America and Interfraternity Council. He is a student ambassador and an orientation leader for New Student Programs.

Daly, who is pursuing a degree in nursing, was sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi and is currently the organization’s president. She is a member of Order of Omega, Student Nurses’ Association, Phi Eta Sigma honor society and the Student Medical Society. She also is a Presidential Ambassador and has been named to the Dean’s List every semester during her time at Southeast.
