CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Oct. 21, 2011 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today appointed Scott Blank as a director on the Missouri Research Corporation Board of Directors.
Blank was appointed to a three-year term beginning Dec. 1 and ending Dec. 1, 2014. He replaces Michael Dambach as director, who has served two consecutive three-year terms.
The Regents also reappointed Maurice “Moe” Sandfort and John Mehner to three-year terms on the board which began Dec. 1, 2010 and end Dec. 1 2013.
Blank is the owner of Bi-State Oil Co. in Cape Girardeau. He has been published in several trade magazines, including C-Store Decisions, Convenience Store & Petroleum Magazine, and Petro-Mart News for his innovative approaches to convenience store operations. He has won an Addy Award of Distinction, an Addy and a Citation of Excellence for several marketing programs.
Blank has been a strong supporter of entrepreneurship education at Southeast. He has spoken to many classes and participated in the Coffee With Entrepreneurs program at the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
