CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Jan. 7, 2008 — A second show of the hilarious “Late Nite Catechism” has been added to the River Campus Touring Series at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2.

This performance, sponsored by the Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts, will be held in the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall located in the Cultural Arts Center at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.  The first performance on Friday, Feb. 1, has sold out, so administrators at River Campus have added a second performance the next day.

Now in its 14th year, “Late Nite Catechism” has brought its nostalgic kick to every state in the United States as well as to Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. “Late Nite Catechism” is an uproariously funny play that takes the audience back to their youth. The irrepressible “Sister” teaches class to a roomful of “students” (the audience). Throughout the course of the class, the benevolent instructor rewards the students for correct answers with glow-in-the-dark rosaries and other nifty prizes. Naughty students may well find themselves on stage sitting in a corner reflecting on their actions. However, even the most reluctant students will be clamoring to get into this Sister’s “class.”  You needn’t have ever attended a catechism class to appreciate Sister’s wit and humor.

Tickets are on sale now at the River Campus Box Office, located in the Cultural Arts Center, 518 S. Fountain St., weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by calling (573) 651–2265. Tickets may also be purchased online at metrotix.com, keyword “catechism” or by calling toll free (800) 293-5949.
