CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 4, 2006 — The SEMO Regional Crime Lab at Southeast Missouri State University will be featured in an episode of Court TV’s “Forensic Files” to be aired on Wednesday, April 5.
The program will air at 8 p.m.
The episode is entitled “A Bump in the Night,” which features an October 1990 bludgeoning death of William Lowes by his stepson Bryan Crews.
Several local law enforcement officials will be featured, including Dave Warren, current Firearms and Toolmarks examiner for the SEMO Regional Crime Lab. The episode was filmed at the laboratory last October and was a daylong event. The film crew was also went to North Carolina to interview Dr. Robert Briner, retired director of the SEMO Regional Crime Lab, who did some of the work on this case.
